Refund & Cancellation Policy

At SEMPL, we strive for complete customer satisfaction. This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations of both our physical NFC products and cloud subscription services.

1. Physical Product (NFC Keychain/Card) Refunds

1.1 Eligibility for Refund

Physical NFC products are eligible for refund within 7 days of delivery under the following conditions:

  • Product is defective or damaged upon arrival
  • Product does not function as described
  • Wrong product was delivered
  • Product packaging is intact and unopened (for change of mind returns)

1.2 Non-Refundable Physical Products

Refunds will NOT be provided if:

  • Product has been used, damaged, or tampered with by the customer
  • Product packaging has been opened (unless defective)
  • Refund request is made after 7 days of delivery
  • Product is lost after delivery confirmation
  • Damage occurred due to mishandling or improper use

1.3 Defective Product Replacement

If your NFC product is found to be defective within the first 30 days, we will replace it free of charge. Manufacturing defects reported within 90 days are eligible for replacement subject to verification.

2. Cloud Subscription Refunds

2.1 First-Time Purchase

For first-time SEMPL subscribers, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on the subscription component if:

  • You are unsatisfied with the service
  • Technical issues prevent service usage (and cannot be resolved)
  • Service does not meet advertised features

2.2 Subscription Renewal Refunds

Subscription renewals are eligible for prorated refunds if:

  • Cancellation is requested within 7 days of auto-renewal
  • Technical service disruption lasts more than 7 consecutive days

Refunds are calculated based on the unused portion of your subscription.

2.3 Non-Refundable Subscription Cases

Subscription fees are non-refundable if:

  • More than 7 days have passed since payment
  • Account has been used actively (uploaded/accessed documents regularly)
  • Account was suspended due to terms violation
  • You simply changed your mind after using the service

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your SEMPL subscription anytime by:

  • Visiting account settings in the mobile app
  • Contacting customer support at support@sempl.shop

Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • Auto-renewal is disabled
  • No partial refunds are provided for remaining days (except as per 2.2)

3.2 Account Deletion

Account deletion is permanent and separate from cancellation. If you delete your account:

  • You have 30 days to download your documents
  • All data is permanently deleted after 30 days
  • No refunds are provided for deleted accounts
  • Deletion cannot be undone

4. Refund Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email refunds@sempl.shop with your order number and reason
  2. For physical products, provide photos of defects if applicable
  3. Our team will review within 2-3 business days
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days

4.2 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit cards: 5-10 business days
  • UPI/Wallets: 3-7 business days
  • Net Banking: 5-10 business days

Processing time may vary by bank/payment provider.

4.3 Return Shipping

For defective products, SEMPL covers return shipping costs. For change-of-mind returns (if eligible), customers are responsible for return shipping.

5. Exchange Policy

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, please request a refund and place a new order.

6. Promotional Offers & Discounts

Products purchased using promotional codes or during sales are subject to the same refund policy. Refund amounts will reflect the actual amount paid, not the original list price.

7. Force Majeure

SEMPL is not liable for delays or inability to provide service due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions. No refunds will be provided for such temporary disruptions.

8. Modified or Discontinued Services

If SEMPL significantly modifies or discontinues services, active subscribers will be notified 60 days in advance and offered prorated refunds or migration options.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to:

We aim to resolve all disputes amicably. If unresolved, disputes are subject to jurisdiction of courts in [Your City], India.
